| Dye pots on the fire. We started by experimenting with the same dye catalyst in different pots (iron, steel, copper) to see if the different metals would affect the colour. Eventually, we just wanted to get on with different colours and tried different catalysts in whatever pot was available. We used onion skins, madder root, and one other catalyst I've currently forgotten. Previous
