| The air hose and viewing hole. The hose connects to the vacuum the end of the pipe (bottom right corner of the photo) has clear glass as a fitting. It can also be unscrewed so the pipe can be rodded out whenever it was blocked. The pipe extended 5 cm into the body of the smelter. There is a mark visible on the pipe which is 15 cm from the end.
